National Library Week, April 7-13

Did you know that every year in April, we celebrate libraries? This year's National Library Week theme is "Libraries = Strong Communities." We couldn't agree more. And besides going to your local library, what better way to learn about the impact of libraries than by watching Frederick Wiseman's documentary EX LIBRIS - The New York Public Library?

The New York Public Library exemplifies the deeply rooted American belief in the individual’s right to know and be informed.
It is one of the most democratic institutions in America – everyone is welcome. The Library strives to inspire learning, advance knowledge and strengthen communities.

In EX LIBRIS we see this illustrated in a number of the NYPL system branches: from robotics classes to Braille training, from photography archives to job fairs; from author talks to live music performances. And, of course, many, many books!

Celebrate National Library Week with us. Now through April 13, get free first class shipping within the US on EX LIBRIS! Enter the code "libraryweek" at checkout.
